All Souls is a Christian church on the Upper West Side in New York City. Our mission is to see people know and prize Christ for God's glory and the city's joy. Together we are learning to prize Jesus as central in our worlds by living the timeless message of Christ, a people living by faith, known by love, and a voice of hope.
As a church, we hold to the ancient truths of the Christian faith and have been profoundly impacted by the love of God, seen most clearly in the life of Christ and his work on the cross. We are passionate to see the reality of this gospel (good news) bring renewal in us and so through us to others, whether by words, acts of kindness or lives of friendship. We desire to be a church that gives glory to God, loves people deeply, and brings healing and hope to our families, neighbors, workplaces and city.
We gather together as a church and also go as a church, spreading the love and life of Christ throughout our city.
The church gathered:
We assemble together in both large and small settings throughout the week and all are welcome, whether you have a strong faith or are seeking with questions. Our Sunday services reflect Biblical principles such as prayer, lifting up our voices to God in song, preaching and teaching the Bible, celebrating communion, and connecting with one another in community. Our life groups exist to connect people in their respective neighborhoods through Christ-centered community.
The church scattered:
As followers of Jesus in New York City, we are called to scatter throughout our respective communities, infiltrating and engaging our world with the message of Christ. We are called to give ourselves sacrificially to the people of the city for the sake of the gospel, pointing people to Jesus through both word and deed. Therefore, for every Christian, all vocations and forms of community involvement are a part of ministry. We seek to promote and encourage this kind of missional living among our members through the teaching of the Word of God and through prayer.
